My Space

Here it is folks, a clean craft room. I think it's pretty self explanatory, not much comentary needed. Zoom in, make yourself at home!

Have you ever noticed how taking pictures of your space makes you notice things you don't see in person? All I see in all these pictures are cords - everywhere! I think I need to work on a solution for that.

In other news...

If you haven't already done so, please go vote for my friend Mary Ann A. She is participating in a Valentine's Day Art Contest. So head on over and vote for her (her work really is the best anyway) then stop by her blog and tell her hello. She is sending out handmade cards to everyone who votes and comments today.

Tonight is the first night for my new knitting class! I am very excited to be learning something new. We are making mittens on double pointed needles - very scary stuff! Not to mention that I am going alone, which is really not like me at all. I am such a chicken! But I really wanted to take the class, so time to be a grown-up! Wish me luck!!

I voted for your friend and got a friend of mine to vote for her, too.

Also, where did you get that table? I wish I had a whole craft room! Right now I only have a craft corner :P

I love the way your mannequin has embroidery hoops around her neck that look like chic necklaces. Very cute. And I'm envious of all your fabric!

Oh, btw, I'm new. I subscribed to your feed through swap-bot! The room looks great :)

Hey good luck with the knitting. Once you knit with dpns, you will be so pleased. And it's not that hard, just pull tight between sticks.

Your space is fantastic! So well organized and attractive!

Enjoy your knitting class. I took the knitting plunge last year and went on my own. It is one of my more recent addictions! Have fun.

Looks great! I have to get myself organized. I'm a disaster right now. I hope your knitting class was fun, I'm proud of you for venturing out on your own!

You have a fabulous place to create! One thing I wish I had in my craft room is a place for cutting things out. I have to do all of that on my kitchen penninsula so I have to put everything away all the time. It would be nice to be able to leave my cutting mat out all the time. I might get more accomplished if I did. Sometimes just the fact that I have to drag all that stuff out makes me not feel like doing any sewing that evening.

I have no doubt that you will pick up how to knit as easily as you pick up everything else. Have fun!!

Great craft space, Roxanne! With all the tidying and organizing you've accomplished I bet your creative juices are going to kick into high gear.

I'm so excited to hear about your first nite at knitting class. I happened to spend last eve. chatting and knitting with a few girlfriends over tea and chocolate. Life is good!
