Squared Table Runner

I think 2008 just might become the year of the table runner!

This runner was sent off to live at the lovely Mary Ann's house as a little thank you for a gigantic box of goodies she sent to me and Sydney - think vintage sheets for me and endless art supplies for her (her favorite being crepe paper that is cut up and hung all over the house.) Thanks again Mary Ann! Hope you enjoy the runner - which in Sydney's head means you put it on the floor and run back and forth on it as fast as you can. Just something to try in case you get bored!! :)

Very cute. I have been trying to think of something to make a girlfriend, just a simple gift. Out of curiosity, how long do these take you to make?

That table runner looks great! I've never quilted, so I can't imagine what it takes to sew all those straight lines. I like Sydney's idea of what a runner is, our kids would get along fabulously!

My cat plays that game, too, but on the dining room table. The runner is stupendous!!! I love the fabrics and the color combination.

I just found your blog and I had to say I love the colours in the runner. It must have been a serious exercise in quilting straight, parallel lines. I think I need some practice with that.

Just beautiful!

This is ABSOLUTELY a wonderful gift, and I love it and use it and smile at it on a daily basis:) So many thanks to you! And, because you know I had to try it, I did indeed toss it upon the floor and run back and forth. Syd is right as rain, it is really fun to do!
