Gray & Yellow

Currently one of my favorite color combos. As seen here on my lovely model.

Cropped pants/capris/long shorts/whatever you want to call them were whipped out the night before an exciting day at the zoo. I had to actually rip out the seam at the waist during breakfast to tighten the elastic. Big girl panties don't take up as much space as the diaper! (Hurray!) Anyway, these are easy and functional and she likes them but I need to figure out a way to dress them up a little. They look a little boyish and more than a little homemade. I'll keep tryin!

Yay for big girl panties! I think her outfit is super cute! You could add some white lace/ric rac/ribbon or something on the hem?

My kids just got a whole bunch of hand-me-downs for the summer and I'm actually a little sad because I was wanting to sew them some clothes. Oh well, shouldn't complain!

Yeah for no diapers! The pants look great! I like the ruffle idea - or how about a little flower applique on the pant leg??

Looks cute.

Well, you coud have fooled me. The pants look very professional from where I'm sitting. I love the yellow and khaki, too.

I think they look great! I would suggest the ruffle too, maybe a coordinating yellow??? Or you could embroider some little design to perk it up a bit? They're great the way they are though - Great job!

You could just do a little tab of the yellow fabric on the sides at the hem with a button. If that makes sense. One end of the tab on the inside under the hem and the other a couple inches up the side seam with a button. Like the tab is holding up the hem sort of thing. or even just little yellow bows at the side seam at the hem would be cute, too. Or flowers made from the yellow fabric. I have way too many ideas when it comes to that stuff, lol. I'm sure anything you do will be cute!

What a cute outfit on your little sweetie! Yay for no diaper! I like the suggestion of a ruffle around the hem of the capris. Perhaps you could just add a pretty bit of embroidery or even a girly button or two just above the hem along the side seam of the legs.
