Before + After - 6

Before - A thrifted house shadow box. A little dirty but full of potential!

After - An adorable new shelf to put in Sydney's room!

Another one of my favorites! This turned out exactly how it looked in my head, which is always exciting! It coordinates with this picture from last week. The process on this project included a lot of sanding, scrubbing, filling lots of holes and cracks and multiple coats of spray paint. I applied the paper to the back using Mod Podge. Cutting the paper for each spot took a while because they were all different sizes and a little wonky - but well worth it I think! It was really hard not to keep this one for myself, but I figure when Sydney gets sick of it I can do a remodel and keep it for myself.

Total cost: $2.00 shadow box from the thrift store + $0 scrapbook paper I had on hand = $2.00

What a transformation! It looks awesome and I'm sure Sydney will love it. Kids get tired of things eventually, so then you can enjoy yourself. You have such amazing before/after projects. It's getting me motivated once I get my garden planted!

This is so sweet! It's incredible how much better this looks once your talented hands do their magic. I'm especially drawn to the lovely papers you chose to use.

Wow! That is truly amazing, so cute, and I can just image all the fun she will have filling those shelves with treasures! As I write this my 4 yr old is begging for one for her treasures, we are always on the lookout for a place to keep them out of brothers way!

Although I really like all your Before and Afters, I have to say that this little house is my favorite so far.

I love the shadow box for Sydney's room! that is such a great creative way to make use of the paper and the old shadow box. I can almost see little dolls in it, like a little doll house!

I love it so much! I am going to have to keep my eyes open for a shadow box to try this with.

I just found this through Ismoyo's blog. I recently bought something similar to this, and this has given me some idea of how i could make it match my bedroom!
