pretend living on the farm

We've been enjoying back-to-back family reunions around here. At the first one (in my home town) we got to pretend we lived on a farm! We rented a house on a small farm just outside of town. I never thought I would say it, but it was really nice. Now I think I want chickens.
P.S. Sadly, my city girl Sydney thought we were staying at the zoo. Guess I've got some work to do.

That's so cute that Sydney thought you were staying at the zoo. I've always loved the way children see the world. I've been thinking about chickens myself lately, but I do actually live in the country *giggle*.

The world through a child's eyes always sounds more fun. I love that she thought you were living at a zoo! I grew up on a farm and sometimes my mom would say she was living in a zoo! (I think it had more to do with the comings and goings of 4 children and their friends ;o)

I grew up on a farm and there is not too much glamorous about it. (and in my opinion, especailly the chickens-they scare me.)
