Thriftaholic

I've been doing too well at the thrift store lately. It's becoming another addiction. Oh well, add it to the list! I just don't feel the same guilt spending money there that I might at a regular store. I think somehow I am helping people and saving the environment when I thrift. But really I just love getting great deals on stuff you can't find anywhere else!

Here was my score from yesterday. I found a bag of scrap fabric that included a couple larger peices of fabric for a mere 99 cents. I am seeing a lot of fabric covered tacks in my future! Make sure you zoom in on this picture to really check it all out. (Sorry for the low light. It is actually sunny out today, I'm just a really bad photographer.) I also picked up some awesome vintage sheets, twin size with top and fitted sheet - whole set for $5. I think these would be so much fun to use in quilts, but alas, I don't make quilts! Anyway, I love them! Here's a close-up.

People must be doing their spring cleaning because, I too, have been having great luck at the thrift stores. Not quite as good as all that fabric for under a buck, though!

oh, you are a tease! I am jealous of your great fabric scraps!!! nice job thrifting.

there are some great zippers at my thrift store that I have passed up a few times now (at 20 cents each). the reason I have passed them up is because they are 22" and 24" long. do you have any bright ideas how I could use them? I bought up all the short ones already...

{why does this post say Tues? Isn't it Thursday? Or is time really standing still? or is bloglines screwing up my feeds?}

I haven't been thrifting in quite awhile, so I'm adding it to tomorrow's to-do list! Thanks for the inspiration!

Thrifted fabric! (Whew, better you than me!) ;)

What do you mean you don't quilt??? C'mon, Roxanne! Get started! :D (Actually, don't... unless you want to end up with loads more fabric. I started quilting to get rid of fabric scraps and now have at least three times what I started with. Sigh!)

Anyway, I look forward to seeing your future projects. :)

That's quite a purchase. I'm almost ashamed to admit - I've never been thrifting...I think I need to go. It seems as though you and Amanda keep getting these great deals!! Good Job!

I'm feeling a bit addicted to the craft store lately myself. I love finding fabric and I always pick up vintage sheets for my rag rugs. :)
