Mini Slippers

In the hopes that things can go back to normal very very soon, I am going to make an effort to post actual crafty things on my blog!! (But first a very quick update for those interested - We got home last Thursday, our house is very dry and perfectly fine, we are now waiting for a second crest that could be over a week away and possibly worst than the first. Good grief.)

As you can imagine I have been doing a lot of knitting during the past few weeks. First up to show you are these mini slippers. Same pattern as these slippers, with a few less stitches and smaller size needles. Sydney wears slippers constantly at home (even to bed) and needed a new pair. Her feet are growing like crazy! Luckily these stretch so I'm hoping they last a while.

I've been trying to find a pattern similar to the one I've been using for these slippers. My pattern is from my great grandma and I'm unsure of the copyright date. This pattern is very similar though and includes many sizes. I can usually whip up a pair of slippers in under 2 hours so they are a great last minute gift idea!

Very very Cute!!! I'm so glad to hear that your house is dry..here's hoping and praying that things will subside and it will all pass! I'm ready for spring..we were hammered with more about 6 inches of snow on top of the foot we received a week ago!

Very cute slippers. Knitting can be so soothing. I'm so glad everything is okay at your home still. This is my favorite slipper pattern, it can be found at Ravelry.

I like it without the flower.

I can't tell which one is making me melt with cuteness - the wee pink slippers or those wee little feet!

Oooo, I had slippers just like that, ones my aunt knit for me. They look so scrummy and warm - like pink butter mints for your feet.

Those little tootsies look cozy in those sweet slippers. Glad you keep your hands busy creating as I'm sure it's been stressful with the flooding threat. Will hope that those floodwaters don't have their way.
Thinking of you...
