clip to it
Another attempt to inspire me to plan meals around here. This decoupaged clipboard hangs on my fridge (it has a gigantic magnet on the back) and will hopefully hold my menu, recipes, etc. So far our plans include a lot of cereal and leftovers. Hard to just eat leftovers if you don't ever cook though!

Roxy~I do something very similar to that! I sit down on Sunday nights and plan our suppers for the week. I would probably be more stressed if I had to plan EVERY meal...However, I know Reggie gets good food at daycare. Planning our meals also helps me in only having to make 1 trip to the grocery store per week!...(usually)
I sat down one time and made out a month long menu for dinners. I put each meal on a 3X5 card. I also put in two cards that say 'new recipe'. When we get to one of those cards if we like the recipe it gets a card of its own and goes into the rotation. We're up to about 45 cards now and when I go grocery shopping I only have to grab the first 15 cards (I try to go every 2 weeks) and make my grocery list. I first started this a couple of years ago and although it seemed painful when I did the original menu it's been wonderful since. I don't always make them in the same order, sometimes I'll flip through the ones that I have bought food for and look for one that's quick if that's what I need or I'll look in the morning to see if I need to get something out of the freezer. Like I said, it's worked really well for us for the last couple of years. Okay, I'll stop now before I start to look too pushy. LOL
such a great idea (again!). part of my september schedule included menu planning...I'd better get to it!
I love planning menu's out - it's such a BIG help. Though you are Way Cooler than me - I only did dinner!!!
