Valentines

Lots of Valentine-making projects around here! It's been fun finding ways to use my Silhouette for these! It is definitely making my life easier.

These are Sydney's Valentines. She insisted on the store bought variety, I insisted we add something creative to them. Compromise - Mickey Mouse cards on decorated hearts. There are slits cut in the corners for the card and a set cut in the center for a pixy stick to go through. We were both pleased I think!

These are the cards I made. I'm slowly learning it's all about the layers in card making.

Sydney and I worked together on a Valentine gift for someone special. (Inspired by one Breanna sent me! Thanks again!!)

We made an extra Heart Warmer! Leave a comment before Saturday at noon (CST) to win it!

Cute valentines. I so wanted to do homemade creative valentines for the kids' school parties, but with 2 boys, they don't see the fun in that so much! Love the heart warmer!!

I so love that heart warmer and I think it wants to come live with me!
Like the above poster, I have two boys and the store bought Lego valentines won out over anything "girlie" that Mom made.

Cute! I think the heart warmer would make a fabulous teacher gift...hmmm...

My girl came home from preschool with her bag o'valentines yesterday. She was the only one in her class of 14 who gave handmade cards. Now I don't know if we're that family or that family...you know?

The heart warmer is adorable. I always gave out store bought cards, but I love the way you combined both store bought and homemade. I think that is how I like to decorate my house a little store bought and a little homemade. A happy balance.

Super cute stuff! I started making an alphabet stencil the other day because I didn't care for the ones and Walmart..I think I would like a Silhouette for the purpose. Looks like you are having a good time with yours! Love the heart idea too!! Happy Valentine's Day!!

Really cute... What did you fill the Heartwarmer with?

I compromised on cards this year too for my 3.5 yr old. He had storebought ones for his friends and homemade ones for his 3 teachers. I figured making 3 cards was the limit to his attention span!

I don't know how long I'm going to get away with homemade Valentines. I love the combo idea! I'll have to remember that when I'm forced to buy some character cards.

Very cute stripey heart warmer!

Happy Valentine's Day!
