I made her a birthday crown before we left. I finished sewing on the buttons on Friday on the way there and then forgot to have her wear it at her party. Bummer.
I think I'll dress her up in her 3 shirt again and fake a party picture with the crown. My plan is to add a new button every year.

Hi!I ran across your blog during a google search. I realized you are an Estian, right? I am/was too. Though ive been taking a long break! Anyway, that birthday crown is soooo cute and such a good idea! I wish I could sew because I have a almost 4yr old girl and an almost 2yr old girl! Your little one is really a cutie!--Amber
What a great crown! And what a cute 3 yr old!
Happy Birthday - what a sweetie!! And great crown!
She's such a cutie! (And the crown is pretty adorable, too.) :)
Congratulations on surviving the party! That is a big accomplishment considering the lugging you had to do! That crown and outfit are absolutely wonderful!!! :)
what a cutie--HAPPY BIRTHDAY
the crown is so sweet! too bad she didn't wear it at the party, but that's the wonderful thing about crowns. one needs no occassion to be royal. :)

What a great idea to add a button each year! The crown is lovely. :) As is the birthday princess.
What a sweetie! I can't believe how grown up she's looking, Roxanne. Amazing the changes that happen between 2 and 3.
Very smart idea with adding a button with each birthday. That sounds like a fun tradition for your birthday princess.
I love the crown idea. S. looks absolutely a cool three in her new duds.
I MUST make one this year for Mar. Best get started now so it gets done.
3 is a great age, I really loved this past year.
HI, did you make up the pattern for the crown or did you have one already, it is such a neat idea.
