Another shirt made from Simplicity 3835. This time with a knit. It doesn't exactly say that the pattern works for knits, but well, it did. So there! The fabric I used wasn't super stretchy though - probably something to keep in mind if you give it a try. And I went at least 2 sizes smaller for this version than I did with regular cotton. It is ridiculously comfortable and probably everyone who sees me in real life is sick of seeing it.

Ah! I love it. I actually think that the elastic neck looks better in the knit. Wow, two sizes smaller, strange how different fabric is.
I love it! I could wear this shirt everyday...I've made two so far and could totally envision my closet full of them:) How did you do the hems? Are they rolled???
Hey, that DOES look comfy! Maybe I should try making one. :)
I have that pattern (finally) and I am about to give it a try (in bleached muslin first). does the pattern run big? I would appreciate any tips you have to pass along, please!
Bravo! What a clever idea, Roxanne. I can bet that this top is ever so comfy made out of a knit.
I'm a new reader here. I have no idea how I found your blog, but I really like the projects you do so thanks for sharing.
I've made three shirts from this pattern and one dress. I love them all. Especially my knit ones. I have some more fabric ready to cut out just as soon as I get my house cleaned up and my dishes done. (You know...the boring stuff.) The shirt looks great and I'm totally with you on wearing it everyday. It just begs to be worn.
I love your new top!!!
There you go, inspiring me again. It looks like the best shirt to wear just about anywhere. Great job.
