a little yellow house with a little pink door

Yesterday a miracle happened - my house was clean, dishes done, child sleeping all at the same time! Woohoo! So I spent some time working on a gift for a special little girl using this tutorial.

I worked on it some more after supper and had it done before I went to bed. I love those kind of projects - done in a day with supplies I had on hand.

And of course, Sydney has requested one for herself. She wants hers to be a red bird house. Personally I think making this as a bird house is a great idea. Add it to the list I guess!

Yay! Super cute. I'm glad to hear you finished so quickly because I've committed to making them for the kids for Christmas. I like the bird house idea, I'm thinking about a garage for Wren. I'm also going to try to put two levels inside, that is if I leave myself enough time to do it!

I think those would make great gifts for grown-ups as well. I mean who doesn't need a cute birdhouse!!! Thanks.

Hello! Just came across your blog tonight while looking up felt crowns. Sorry I'm leaving this comment on a post that's about a month old. I love this house you made! And those little vegetable thingies you've recently stitched! Adorable! I shall come back and visit to see what they become eventually.

I love the colors you've chosen for this lovely house! Would you mind sharing what kind of batting did you use? Thanks!
